I think the combat sports athletes are, in a way, the best fans in the world of sports. They cheer for their favorite fighters no matter what the outcome of the fight. There should be a way that cheerleading trophies are handed out to these fans. I mean they really get into their fighters and their respective fights.  I think this would be a way to give back to the fans. Often times the cheerleading becomes the motivational factor in getting the athletes to fight and work harder so that they come out victorious.

Just like there wrestling trophies, football trophies and soccer trophies presented to teams and individuals, there should also be something given out to the fans that cheer their heads off, post on websites and religiously follow their favorite sports.  If nothing else, small cheerleading trophies can be given out at every televised event for the fan cheering the hardest.  I don’t know…I just think this may be a cool way to engage the audience and fan base and make them a part of the show by bringing them a step nearer to their idols.
