Abraham Miranda II – Things are getting hot
King Arthur: Who cares what Miranda says?
IBF middleweight champion & HyeFighter King Arthur Abraham (26-0, 21 KOs) started his ten-day training camp on a small island in the Baltic Sea on Monday May 26th, to train and get ready for the showdown against Edison Miranda on June 21st. The Armenian world champion stated he is counting the days until this highly-anticipated bout which will also mark the champs US debut. “Things have been going great in practice,” Abraham said. “I am looking forward to the rematch with Miranda.” In September 2006, King Arthur won a unanimous victory over Miranda. Abraham did this with a jaw that was broken in two places and had lost over a liter of blood. Miranda, who had five points deducted by referee Randy Neumann in the first fight, has been complaining and disrespecting the CHAMP ever since and making comments like “I do not think he is a good boxer at all, or a real champion. I will hunt him down like a wounded pig and slaughter him. Abraham won’t hear the final bell on June 21st,” this being one of the nicer things he has said.
The champ Abraham, on the other hand, says he couldn’t care less about Miranda´s latest comments and rants. “Does anyone really care about what Miranda says? He should tell his psychologist about his problems. Had I failed to beat a man who has his jaw broken twice, I would have retired immediately and would rather work as a night watchman,” said Abraham. Meanwhile, trainer Ulli Wegner is optimistic King Arthur’s US debut will be a successful one. “The last time Miranda clearly lost on points. This time Arthur will knock him out,” he predicted.
